Vacant Property Registration

A city ordinance requires registration of all vacant properties in Kansas City, Mo. Newly vacant properties must be registered within 90 days. Properties that are already registered must be re-registered annually between Feb. 1 and April 30. Failure to comply could result in a fine of $50 per property.

To register or re-register, simply review and update the information on each of your owner and property record screens. Click the Edit link on properties and the Edit This Profile link on the owner record to see full details and update them. Then on each screen, check the box at the bottom labeled "I have verified that all of the above information is correct," and click the Submit button.
